18" (46 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features and brown hair with forelock curls, painted grey/green eyes with spiral threading, black and brown upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast pouting expression, stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointed hips, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 90578 (foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, second era of the Type I model, circa 1935. Value points: well-preserved doll with beautifully painted features and hair.
