14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with painted blonde baby hair, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent, faint old hairline at the back lower neck. Marks: JDK made in Germany 11. Comments: Kestner, circa 1915, the model is known as Baby Jean. Value Points: fine artistic painting is enhanced by deeply impressed laughter crinkles and cheek dimples, original body and body finish.
