Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, pale blue enamel inset eyes with spiral threading and darker blue outer rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented pale lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig in beautiful original coiffure over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent, kid body is overall very firm and sturdy with few small old repairs at joints. Marks: 4 (head and shoulderplate) Poupee Au Magasin des Enfants 1-7 Passage de l'Opera (green stamp on front torso). Comments: French, circa 1872, the fashion doll was presented at the prestige doll and toy shop, Au Magasin des Enfants, in Paris. Value Points: especially lovely poupee with gentle expression enhanced by very lovely bisque and delicately-blushed complexion, wearing beautiful antique costume, leather boots signed C.C.
