9 1/2" (24 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes, closed mouth, white mohair wig in very elaborate coiffure, composition body jointed at shoulders and hips, painted flat black shoes. Condition: near mint. Marks: 221 3/0 (head). Comments: French, SFBJ, mid-1900s, from a series of historical portraits of 19th century ladies and royalty. Value Points: superb condition, wearing original ice blue silk-like gown with braid trim, with original Jumeau gilt wrist label with ink script "Marie Antoinette, Femme de Louis XVI, Epoque 1780", original stand, original box with store label from FAO Schwarz.
