22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump cheeks, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, impressed dimples at chin and philtrum, slightly-parted lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, hands retouched. Marks: S 12 H 719 Dep. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1888. Value Points: hard-to-find model, especially in this larger size, with wonderful expression, original wig, beautiful bisque and painting, lovely antique costume.
