Bisque socket head, dark blue glass paperweight inset eyes, lushly painted lashes, wide brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition body jointed at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: "Le Parisien" Paris A 5 6. (head) Le Parisien (body). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: original body and body finish, original pate, deep luminous eyes, wearing original Russian folklore costume including coiffe, undergarments, and original muslin chemise.
