24" (61 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain shoulderhead with slender oval face, very elongated throat, and modeled bosom, unusual cut of shoulderplate rim, black sculpted center-parted hair arranged in thick double braids looped under each sculpted ear and then captured in a wide coiled braid at the back of the head, well-defined eye sockets, shaded blue upper glancing eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, circle-accented nostrils, accented eye corners, closed mouth with hint of smile, defined dimple at philtrum and lip corners. muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, porcelain hands by Kintzback, antique gown, undergarments, stockings, and leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, small paint rub on right cheek. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: the exceptional quality of deeply-defined sculpting enhances the facial expression and very rare coiffure.
