The baby-shaped teddy bear of dark brown curly mohair has pronounced snout, open mouth with felt lining, amber glass eyes, small stitched ears, stubby plump torso, jointed arms and legs, felt paw pads, leatherette collar, worn original paper label "Teddy Baby". Fair condition, extensive mohair wear on front torso, left arm and face, paw pads darkened. With original Steiff button in ear. Germany, Steiff, the "Teddy Baby" model was introduced in 1930 in several color variations; this dark brown color is rare.
