Description
14" (36 cm.) overall. Bisque doll with large blue eyes, painted features, open mouth, four tiny teeth, auburn hair, wooden torso with squeak torso, wire upper arms and legs, carved wooden hands, paper mache feet with painted shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Lanternier symbol). Comments: French, Lanternier, circa 1915. Value Points: all original with richly-patterned costume; when the whistle handle is shaken, the doll moves back and forth and squeaks.
