3 1/2" (9 cm.) A firm-sided box with applied paper designs and ball feet,hinges open to reveal mirrored back with scalloped gilt paper,and fitted papeterie contents that are affixed to backing,designed for display. The contents are similar to those offered by early peddler dolls. A paper label with detailed message is on the underside. Very rare and early. Germany,early 1800s.
