The earthenware figurine with richly painted finish in pastels and gold leaf depicts woman holding a seated child, with two small children posed at her feet, mounted on original colorful base, and presented on a wooden base under glass dome. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, Santibelli figurine, the artisan presentations were indigenous to the Provence area, early 1800s, with themes ranging from patriotic to religious, occupational, or decorative. Value Points: very rare artisanal work in perfectly preserved original condition; included is a book, Santibellis, detailing the history of these rarely noted objects.
