Description
12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with white bisque complexion having painted red clown decorations, brown glass isnet eyes, curvy brown brows, closed mouth with upturned lip corners, bi-color fleecy wig, original composition French body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E 4 D. Comments: Etienne Denamur, circa 1890. Value Points: rare little fellow with wonderful shy expression which contrasts his mischievous decorations, original body, wig, body finish, and wearing original silk jester costume which matches his wig.
