14" (36 cm.) Standing upon a three-wheeled tinplate base is a paper mache jester with black enamel eyes, painted lashes and brows, black painted pate, open mouth, carton torso and legs, wire upper arms, wooden hands, original costume, and posed behind a large drum, holding brass cymbals in his hands. Condition: fair, in need or restoration, mechanism not operating, original costume which is very worn. Comments: Theroude, circa 1840.
