22" (54 cm.) Bisque socket head with deeply sculpted character features around eyes and mouth,painted facial features,pale blue eyes with black upper eyeliner,one stroke tapered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with full lips in pouting expression,brunette mohair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent,few typical wig pulls. Marks: K*R 114 54. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt,the model "Hans" from their art character series,circa 1910,the doll was modelled after the grandson of Fransz Reinhardt (a photograph is shown in German Doll Encyclopedia by Cieslik.) Value Points: exceptional quality of sculpting on the larger model of the pouting faced boy,enhanced by luminous patina,original body finish,superb antique mariner costume including cap labeled "Normandie".
