Description
22" (56 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, narrow almond-shaped blue glass sleep eyes with heavily modeled eyelids, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with well-defined space between the shaded lips, painted blonde baby hair, composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D Lori I (impressed) S&C Ges Geschutz Germany. Comments: Swaine and Co., circa 1915. Value Points: rare to find large model of the superbly sculpted baby with especially fine modeling around the eyes, very fine bisque, superb multi-layered antique costume.
