28" (71 cm.) Thick-paste porcelain shoulder head with pink-tinted complexion, oval face, elongated throat and modeled bosom, black sculpted hair looped over the ears in soft waves and captured at the back in a chignon composed of six rows of tight braids, large painted blue upper glancing eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, slightly upturned nose tip, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, muslin stitch-jointed body, kid leather arms with separately stitched fingers, sewn-on stockings and red leather shoes, beautiful antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1855. Value Points: rare and fine early porcelain lady with exquisite painting of features and complexion, intricately-sculpted chignon.
