Description
8" (20 cm.) Posed upon porcelain base is an endearing childhood scene of sculpted porcelain in which Papa in his ceremonial military garb (possibly Napoleon) rests wearily upon a chair, while his little daughter, having daintily-sculpted ringlet curls and flowered dress, leans on the nearby table, her finger to her lips as those going "sh-h-h". A toy horse and ride, and open story book lie on the table. Excellent condition French, probably Sevres, mid-1800s.
