18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, stretched kid-over-wooden body with shapely torso, dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, bisque lower arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: excellent except faint hairline that curves over front shoulder plate, one finger broken. Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: beautiful face, rare wooden body in fine preservation, bisque lower limbs, beautifully shaped feet, fine antique costume.
