Description
8" (20 cm.) All-wooden zebra with dowel-jointed neck, open mouth, painted teeth, green glass eyes, leather ears, cloth mane, rope tail with painted spots, and original painted finish of brown-striped tan hide with cream underbelly. Excellent condition. American, Schoenhut, circa 1910, the first version of the zebra, presented in Schoenhut's Adventures in Africa series.
