Description
10" (25 cm.) Each has solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, mohair wig, composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips, dowel at upper neck for attachment to head. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7 1/2. Comments: Sonneberg, presented for the French market, circa 1882. The dolls wear traditional costumes of a seaside fishing village in the northern French region of Flanders. Value Points: the dolls are all-original, wearing well-reserved original costume including accessories.
