18" (46 cm.) All-cloth doll with swivel head, firmly-pressed and oil-painted facial features, shaded blue/grey eyes, thick black and brown upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, rounded nose with accent dots, plump cheeks, full chin, unique side-parted blonde hair with wispy curls and original red hair bow, stitch-jointed arms, disc-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 9472 (stamp on left foot). Kathe Kruse (and KK back to back letters) Dorothee (original wrist tag). Comments: Kathe Kruse, the Dorothee model was issued in 1935 as a Jubilee model celebrating the company’s 25th anniversary. Value Points: rare doll with unique hair style, superb painting, original costume and tag, in wonderful original condition.
