9 1/2" (24 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig in upswept Edwardian style, composition body jointed at shoulders and hips, painted flat black shoes. Condition: near mint. Marks: 221 3/0 (head). Comments: French, SFBJ, mid-1900s, from a series of historical portraits of 19th century ladies and royalty. Value Points: the dainty lady is wearing original rose crepe de chine fashionable gown, wide-brimmed bonnet with flowers and velvet ribbons, and carrying lace-edged parasol, with original Jumeau gilt label, original stand, and in original box with original store label of FAO Schwarz and original paper label "60/17 Femme 1900".
