28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded plump face, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes with dot highlights, lightly feathered brows, rose-blushed eyeshadow, shaded nostrils, pierced ears, closed mouth with outlined lips, impressed chin dimple at philtrum, brunette mohair wig, cork pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists, lovely antique dress (with some small holes), costume, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie C 6 (incised) Steiner Bte SGDG Bourgoin St. (red lettering). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1880. Value Points: an especially beautiful model of the early period rare bebe, with finest quality of bisque, complexion and painting, original body and body finish.
