Description
19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, wheat-blonde short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, well-costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6 1/2 made in Germany 7 1/2 JDK 241 (head) Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1915. Value Points: finest bisque and painting on the expressive wide-eyed character, original body and body finish, lovely antique costume.
