19" (48 cm.) Polychromed carved wooden head and shapely torso, oval-shaped face with defined eye sockets, enamel eyes, closed mouth with firm expression, aquiline nose, original hemp blonde wig in very elaborate coiffe with intertwined beading. All-wooden body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Excellent condition, some light early retouch. Continental, late 18th century, the regal lady wears original silk and brocade velvet coat with silk metallic threads, fine decorated wig and bejeweled hat and necklace.
