6 1/2" (17 cm.) Waist-up porcelain woman with grey sculpted hair curled under the edged of a blue wide-brimmed bonnet trimmed with extravagant yellow bow and with pink streamer ties, grey down-glancing eyes, sculpted brown jacket with fur trim and yellow lapels and cuffs. Marks: (blue crossed arrows stamp). Excellent condition. French, Locre, circa 1910, the figure appeared in an early company catalog as model 13968 identified as "Charles I La Merveilleuse" from a series of dolls representing women of specific periods of French history, this particular model depicting a woman in costume of the Charles X era of early 1800s.
