21" (53 cm.) All-cloth doll with socket head, pressed and oil-painted facial features, shaded brown eyes with pronounced white eyedots, black and brown upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pouting expression, brunette human hair hand-stitched wig with braids, stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 23155 (foot). Comments: Germany, Type VIII, the model known as "Deutsches Kind", circa 1935. Value Points: charming little girl, wearing her original red rayon crepe dotted dress, pinafore, knit undies, red woolen tam, socks and white shoes.
