17" (43 cm.) Lightly-pink-tinted porcelain shoulderhead with very plump face, painted features, pale blue down-glancing painted eyes with darker blue outer iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted all-around lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, softly-stuffed plump kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, kid-over-wooden upper arms, porcelain lower arms to above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent, fine early restoration on left hand. Marks: Brevete SGDG (green stamp in oval). Comments: Leontine Rohmer, circa 1855, an early model by that firm. Value Points: very beautiful "poupee enfantine" with original body, and wearing lovely antique silk dress with matching cape, undergarments, shoes, and pearl-edged cap. The doll bears a blue ribbon award from 1990 UFDC convention exhibit.
