36" (91 cm.) Each has paper mache head with highly characterized features, sienna tinted complexion, painted side-glancing eyes, black painted brows, aquiline nose, closed mouth, black mohair wig, costume-wrapped straw-fitted body with enclosed arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Skookums, the trade-named portrait dolls of Native American people, created and designed by Mary McAboy, circa 1925; the dolls were designed in various sizes and styles, representing various tribes. Value Points: very rare grand Exhibition-sized pair of man and woman along with little child, each with elaborate original costumes and accessories.
