5" (13 cm.) h. priest. The collection of 11 chip-carved village people with sculpted and painted details of face, hair and costume, include the village Priest, Baker with Chef's cap, seated older couple, man with mountain horn, and various others. Along with four mountain sheep and a brown cow. The figures are displayed on a wooden ladder designed to flip over to form into a chair. Excellent condition, excepting two figures with chipped feet. Germany, late 1800s.
