Description
36" (91 cm.) Similar to the preceding lot, with variations of painted expression and variations of costume, each has paper mache head with highly characterized features, sienna tinted complexion, painted side-glancing eyes, black painted brows, aquiline nose, closed mouth, black mohair wig, costume-wrapped straw-fitted body with enclosed arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Skookums, by Mary McAboy, circa 1925. Value Points: very rare grand Exhibition-sized pair of man and woman along with little child, each with elaborate original costumes and accessories.
