10" (25 cm.) Carved wooden head with gofun finish, deeply set eye sockets, refined expression, closed mouth, black silk fiber hair in very ornate coiffure that is decorated with silver foil ornament, wooden hands and feet, wearing a purple and cream silk crepe costume in yagasuri pattern with inner kimono of printed design, gold silk brocade obi with red tie, and carrying a small pouch for accessories or toiletries. Excellent condition. Early 20th century, especially fine detailing on the diminutive lady.
