Bisque socket head,blue glass inset eyes,mohair upper lashes,painted lower lashes with dot highlights,brush-stroked brows,open mouth,outlined lips,four porcelain teeth,pierced ears,brunette human hair wig,French composition and wooden fully jointed lady body with shapely torso,elongated limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1159 Germany Simon & Halbig S&H 10 (head) Bebe Jumeau Diplome d'Honneur (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig for the French market,the doll was commissioned for Jumeau in the late 1890s,and continued in production under the SFBJ auspices until 1915; examples of the lady doll in various costumes appeared in the 1912 SFBJ catalog. Value Points: the elegant lady with original body and body finish is wearing her factory-original green satin Edwardian-era dress,undergarments,shoes,stockings,and bonnet.
