Description
12" (30 cm.) x 8" closed. 3" candle holder. A six-sided carton box with lithographed paper cover and bronze lid ring, is designed to lift apart, allowing the sides of a linen-covered platform to fold open. Arranged on the platform is a porcelain dinner service for four of white porcelain with green borders and colorful floral centers. There are four plates, four soup bowls, two lidded tureens, gravy boat, large serving bowl, four glass goblets, two decanters, silverware (missing one fork and one spoon), ribbon tied napkins, menu cards, and two silver candle holders. Excellent condition. The luxury toy in beautifully detailed presentation is preserved in near mint unplayed with condition. French, circa 1880.
