16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with sculpted blonde boyish hair having pronounced topknot and forelock curls, painted side-glancing googly eyes with pronounced black pupils and white eyedots, one-stroke brows, upturned pug nose, closed mouth with smug smile, well-detailed sculpted ears, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (square) 8590 Germany 8. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910. Value Points: among the rarest of the art character Heubach dolls, with exceptional quality of sculpting, bisque and expression.
