7" (18 cm.) Each has bisque swivel head on glazed porcelain shoulderplate, glass inset eyes, painted features, closed mouth, mohair wig, cloth armature body with porcelain hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1890. Value Points: superb presentation of dolls with unusual body style suggesting commissioned production, each lady wearing an elaborate theatrical costume in the Renaissance mode, including accessories such as coiffes or tiny coin purses.
