Description
11" (28 cm.) x 10" X 9". A wooden platform with three-sided mirrored back has original lithographed paper covers and gilt columnar trim. The floor has a circular cut-out upon which are standing three pairs of bisque-head dolls with glass eyes, mohair wig, and paper mache body, posed as though dancing, each wearing original folklore costume. When the porcelain knob at front is turned, merry music plays while the doll’s platform revolves around and around, and, additionally, each pair of dolls twirls around. Condition: generally excellent, mechanism functions well, original finish and costumes, one mirror has crack. Comments: Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890. Value Points: charming activity with dual revolving and twirling actions; mechanism and music function well.
