Description
37" (94 cm.) h. x 37"w. x 20"d. The wooden spindled cradle/crib has unique patented device which allows the cradle to be altered from a rocking movement to stability, and fine bed linens are fitted within the bed. The maker's name and patent date are stamped on the side "W.H. Earnests, Pat. Mar 20, 1862 Steinman & (illegible) Co. Cincinnati". Excellent condition. American, circa 1860s, the design and making of furniture was a thriving industry in that city during that era, of which this is an excellent example.
