Description

9.5" (24 cm.) doll. 11" x 14" box. A pasteboard box with colorful lithograph image on the cover depicting mother teaching a little girl to sew for her doll, while two other children play nearby, opens to reveal well-fitted unplayed with contents of bisque doll, sewing fabrics and supplies, tools, and a large pattern book with 17 patterns for 9.5" doll. The doll has bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, original blonde mohair wig, original five piece paper mache body with painted black stockings and two strap brown shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 192 (doll) Die Kleine Puppenschneiderin (and "La Petite Couturiere" and "Dress Finishing", on lid) (NG (intertwined manufacturer's stamp). Comments: doll by Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910. Value Points: in fine unplayed with condition, the doll wears her factory original costume and wig, and box contents are complete and fresh.
