Description
19" (48 cm.) Each has socket head, painted hazel eyes, brown and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, closed mouth, stitch-jointed arms, disc-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse (and illegible numbers on feet), Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1950, she has brunette braids and is wearing red cotton print dress, petticoat, woolen socks and leather shoes; and he has short side-parted hair and is wearing red cotton two-piece suit, socks, red leather shoes, and each with red woolen tam. Value Points: pristine original condition of the wistful faced children; the dolls were featured on the cover of The Beloved Kathe Kruse Dolls by Lydia Richter.
