Description
13" (33 cm.) The wooden desk has original finish to simulate exotic woods and with gilt stenciled designs, with fancily-shaped crest and book shelf, drop-front desk surface with original blue paper cover, and with well-fitted niches, drawers and cubicles, above a long single drawer and two cupboard doors, and four carved bone handles. The original blue paper backing is partially intact, along with an original paper inventory label at the back. Excellent condition except crack to side corner of mirror. Germany, attributed to the workshops of D.H. Wagner in Waltershausen, circa 1880.
