Description
19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, blue glass sleep eyes, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, one finger broken, wig pulls at front crown and back of hair. Marks: 23 K 2 0 1/2 (enclosed in large H). Comments: Carl Hartman, circa 1910. Value Points: in unplayed with condition, with beautiful soft wig, the doll wears original green silk dress with matching bonnet, undergarments, stockings, shoes. The bonnet has an original label of Standard Millinery College of Bangor, Maine; that milliner's college operated in Maine from about 1905-1912, and this bonnet is likely an assignment presented from a young student there.
