Description
3 1/2" (9 cm.) One-piece all-bisque figure of standing Kewpie with topknot, blue wings, side-glancing googly eyes, his right arm extended holding a leash for the bisque Doodle Dog which sits at his feet, and a black umbrella clasped in his left arm. Doodle Dog has classic blue wings and shaded brown spotting. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: c (in circle). Comments: Germany, circa 1915, from original designs by Rose O'Neill. Value Points: rare Kewpie vignette combines two popular figures, the Traveler and Doodle Dog.
