Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) and 7 1/2". Each is waist-up porcelain figure of woman or child, the larger with exceptional detail of ruffled Charlotte cap over ringlet curls, and with very full sleeves of blouse having painted floral bodice; and the smaller being a young child with 18th century style coiffure and costume, extending a tray with coffee pot. Condition: the larger has restoration on bonnet bows, right arm, and fingers of left hand; the smaller is excellent. Comments: larger by Ernest Bohne Sohne, the smaller by Goebel. Early 1900s. Value Points: rare half dolls with exceptional detail.
