15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket-head with unusual head shaping, painted light blonde boyish hair, prominent ears, very plump cheeks and chin, small intaglio blue painted squinting eyes with white eyedots, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips appearing as though "puckered", defined space between the lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: 7744 Heubach (sunburst) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: very rare model with exceptional quality of sculpting including an abundance of impressed dimples around the mouth and eyes, fat rolls at the back of neck, enhanced by fine quality of bisque and painting.
