17"l. x 14"h. x 13"d. A large wooden trunk with black canvas cover and brass decorations opens to a beautifully fitted interior of padded gold fabric trimmed with handmade rick-rack,two-tiered lift-out trays covered in matching paper,and matching bonnet stand. There is a brass plate with child's name "Netten" on the lid,and a paper label of the trunk maker,Chr. L. Nielsen of Copenhagen on one tray. The trunk contains ten antique doll bonnets,one with original French label,parasol,and various other clothing. Excellent condition. Circa 1880.
