Description
14" (36 cm.) x 10". A wooden box with decorative lithographed paper cover in the Art Nouveau style, centered by gilt lettering "Service a Toilette", hinges open to a well-fitted shelved interior, with cord-edged mirror at the back, and various toiletry articles including porcelain wash bowl and pitcher with two matching trinket boxes, powder jar and cup, and various bone brush and comb, hankies, and glass jars. Generally excellent. French, circa 1890.
