18" (46 cm.) Standing on back haunches, the firmly-stuffed white mohair polar bear with uplifted head has amber eyes, embroidered nose, tiny stitched ears, black embroidered claws. Along with little polar bear cub of short mohair with flat face, embroidered nose and mouth, posed seated with felt paw pads. Each has original Dean's Rag label on body. The bears, named Ivy and Bramus, were made to commemorate the birth of the London Zoo's first baby polar bear. Dean's Rag, England, circa 1850.
