10" (25 cm.) Carved wooden head with gofun finish, painted eyes and facial features, downcast heavy eyelids, black silk fiber hair, bald crown, wooden hands and feet, wearing bast fiber tunic with wide sleeves, silk crepe trousers, gold lacquered cap, on original wooden stand. Generally excellent. Meiji era, circa 1900.
