16" (41 cm.) All-composition with socket head, jointing at shoulders and hips, sleep eyes, real lashes, open mouth with smiling dimpled expression, row of teeth, blonde mohair wig with ringlet curls. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Shirley Temple (head) Shirley Temple 16 (torso). Comments: Ideal, circa 1935. Value Points: rare size of the child star is presented in her original (somewhat worn) trunk with Ideal costumes (noted if labels still intact) including two variations of embroidered blue pique dress from "Curly Top" (one with original rayon tag); blue variation of dancing dress from "Stand Up and Cheer" with matching sunsuit and cap; red dimity dress from "Our Little Girl" with musical notes; red cotton dress with unique collar; yellow "emblem" dress with loop applique from "Poor Little Rich Girl", and two full-length polka dot sunsuits with original labels. Also included is white twill sailor pants, middy and cap (maker uncertain).
